Outward Bound Ecuador1 inspires and develops leadership skills in people through outdoor education and adventure challenges which are intricately interwoven with experiential learning.

Our leadership programs and courses allow participants to stretch beyond preconceived personal limits to achieve unthought-of performance and results.

Leadership development programs at Outward Bound consist on potentiate skills of mind, body and spirit to better understand one's responsibilities to self, others and community, especially for young leaders.

Experiential learning is a process based on action and reflection. Experiences and leadership challenges are intentionally designed, presented and reflected upon so as to instill a sense of integrity through team building, effective communication skills, the ability to go beyond self-imposed limitations and acceptance of responsibilities.

Leadership programs through outdoor education allow students to be an intricate part of extraordinary experiences which will challenge their limits and have a long lasting impression. Challenges will make participants discover their own strengths.

Our mission, as Outward Bound Ecuador, is to help young leaders discover their potential, to care for themselves, others and the world around them through challenging experiences in unfamiliar settings.

Outward Bound still believes that education must encourage and instill leadership, compassion and service while developing character through physical, practical challenges to develop young leaders; all this, through experiential learning and outdoor education. It was derived from Kurt Hahn's thinking behind this philosophy: "There is more in you than you think".
